Donation works best for clean, usable items

Furniture, small household goods, and working appliances make good donation candidates when they are complete, clean, and ready for another household to use right away. When an item qualifies, we try to route it to a donation partner before considering disposal.

Recycling depends on the material

Metal appliances, cardboard, and some renovation materials can often be separated from general disposal. Mixed loads may need sorting before they reach the right facility, which is part of why full-service removal is easier than hauling it yourself.

Some items require special disposal

Paint, fuel, chemicals, asbestos, and other regulated materials should never be mixed into a standard junk load. Ask us first so the item can be handled safely and routed to the proper facility.

The goal: keep usable items in use

Sorting for donation and recycling takes a little extra effort, but it keeps usable items out of the landfill and often helps someone else in the community. When you book a pickup, just let us know if anything is still in good shape.
